== Biography ==
Lamb, born in Edinburgh, began his British leagues career riding for [[Berwick Bandits]] during the [[1985 National League season]].<ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.speedwayresearcher.org.uk/1985fixtures.pdf |title=1985 season |website=Speedway Researcher |access-date=23 April 2024}}</ref> However, he was part of the exchange deal with [[Edinburgh Monarchs]], that saw Scott Courtney head for Berwick, with Phil Jeffrey and Lamb heading in the other direction.<ref>{{cite news |title=Injured Jeffrey is out |work=The Scotsman |date=9 August 1985 |access-date=23 April 2024|url=https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0000540/19850809/412/0024 | via = [[British Newspaper Archive]]|url-access=subscription }}</ref>

His best season was to come in 1993, when he was once again an Edinburgh rider.
