On March 28, 2024, an accident involving a bus transporting passengers from [[Botswana]] occurred, near Mamatlakala in the northern province of Limpopo resulting in at least 45 deaths and one seriously injured person, according to the South African Department of Transport on Thursday said a bus crash. The ministry alleged that the driver lost control, collided with barriers on the bridge, went over to the ground catching fire.
