Sources close to Tony Henry (52nd Street) and Bernard Sumner (New Order) confirm that they were part of what most certainly was the first Acid House Techno track recorded in the UK at Revolution Studios in Cheadle Hulme Manchester in very late 1983. The track titled ‘Sunshine Valley Rhymes” was done as a side project to their Factory Records regular day jobs. The sessions were paid for by Island Records and Island Music Publishing UK. The track was never released. This due to the then Island Records A&R team’s uncertainty, that the song would get daytime radio play. It is still to this day (2024) unreleased. Instruments on the sessions included: two Oberheim DMX drum machines. Roland’s TB-303, MC-202, SH-101 & Juno-60. Sequential Circuit’s Prophet 5 and PRO 1. EMU Emulator 1.
[[Derrick Harris (musician, Sleezy D)|Sleezy D]]'s "I've Lost Control" (1986) was the first to be released on vinyl, but it is impossible to know which track was created first.<ref name=Cheeseman>Cheeseman 1992. ''"I've Lost Control" was made by Adonis and Marshall Jefferson and was certainly the first acid track to make it to vinyl, though which was created first will possibly never be known for sure.''</ref>[[Derrick Harris (musician, Sleezy D)|Sleezy D]]'s "I've Lost Control" (1986) was the first to be released on vinyl, but it is impossible to know which track was created first.<ref name=Cheeseman>Cheeseman 1992.
